Chippewa Falls, Wis.

2/15/29

My dearest Mabel:

I just received your most looked for letter this morning and you cannot imagine how happy I felt.

You’ll have to excuse the letter – my dearest because I’m writing it during lunch hour and it’s 12:30 P.M. and I haven’t had my lunch yet.

I am very glad to accept your “invite” for me to come to see you Saturday night and I’ll do my best to do so – I say my best because two 3 reasons – for one I’ll have to pump Mollerus for pay day – second he told me last night that he & I should work all day Sunday but I’ll talk him out of that – and thirdly I have a pretty bad cold and if you don’t mine me coming out on that account I’ll sure come.

My dearest if everything “pans” out alright – (the money question) I’ll be there with bells on. “Bye S’Long”

Your pal

Wallie x

At any rate, dearest take a chance and go to the bus depot to meet me, in the event I do not come then you’ll know why but I assure you I’ll try my best.

Wallie
